Polished concrete is becoming a very popular option in flooring (for background information on polished concrete, see our blog post Polished Concrete: What Makes it Shine?. With the amount of polished concrete growing rapidly, it is important to understand how to develop a proper program for polished concrete maintenance.

A proper polished concrete maintenance program can help address common issues with polished concrete:

• Porosity and stain sensitivity of concrete
• Loss of gloss and appearance with wear over time
• The need for costly re-grinding and re-polishing

Multi-Clean has developed the Crete-Tek system, formulated specifically for polished concrete maintenance. Crete-Tek eliminates the ups and downs of polished concrete maintenance by keeping the floor at a consistent high shine while boosting durability and stain resistance.

The Crete-Tek system consists of 3 products: Crete-Guard, Crete-Clean, and Crete-Shine.

Crete-Guard is a stain protector for polished concrete and grout. It works by penetrating the surface of the concrete and forming a seal that repels water and oils, without leaving a film. Crete-Guard prevents spills and stains from penetrating the concrete, and they are more easily washed away. Crete-Guard is compatible with floor cleaners and maintenance products and will not affect slip or appearance of the floor, but will not work if applied over a floor coating.

Crete-Clean is a polished concrete cleaner and densifier for daily cleaning of polished concrete floors. Crete-Clean uses environmentally friendly technology to effectively clean and degrease, and special additives to help harden and densify the concrete with each cleaning. For best results, Crete-Clean can be paired with a Twister^® green diamond-impregnated pad (or equivalent) on an autoscrubber.

Use Crete-Clean to clean and degrease polished concrete while hardening and increasing durability.

Crete-Shine is a polished concrete restorer designed to restore gloss and appearance to worn polished concrete surfaces. Crete-Shine can be applied as a mop-on restorer or as a spray burnish. It can be burnished with either a traditional burnishing machine or a high-speed autoscrubber. For light restoring, pair Crete-Shine with a Twister^® green pad (or equivalent), and for heavy-duty restoring use a Twister^® yellow pad (or equivalent).

Use Crete-Shine to bring back the gloss and appearance to aging and worn polished concrete.
