The purpose of a scrub & re-coat procedure is to provide better results in prolonging a floor’s capability to last longer. Scrubbing can remove the first and second layer coats of floor finish, exposing the less damaged coat of the floor finish. This is usually carried out with an auto-floor scrubber with a rotary pad for cleaning. To soften the finish for an easier coat removal, use an all-purpose liquid cleaner such as Blue Blazes. This is our suggested product for carrying out this procedure.

After the scrubbing procedure, reapply the floor finish product used for the first coat. If possible, begin with the floor finish that was coated on the floor prior to scrubbing. You can use a floor finish product that is compatible as well. Choose a floor finish that matches the condition of the floor type. To get the best floor care maintenance, distinguish the likely traffic pattern and any special requirements to suit the results of the finish. Apply three coats of finish for restoration of gloss, durability, and appearance quality.

Scrub & re-coat is a maintenance technique that can prolong the value of a floor’s lifespan. Wear and tear is bound to happen where there is foot traffic and other possible damage. Restoration helps maintain and regulate the features of a floor finish with proper floor care. For more information on Scrub & Re-coat, visit Multi-Cleans Floor Care Products website.
